Touring
the North Fork for 5 Years!
One of our most popular trips. This is an off the beaten
path look at the scenic North Fork. You’ll travel along country lanes to
vineyards that truly represent the Long Island Wine Region.
 This tour leaves from
the charming town of Mattituck at 10AM. In no time we'll be casually riding
through the country roads of the North Fork, stopping occasionally to
take in the incredible
views of the Peconic Bay & Robins Island. The beautiful North
Fork promises something for everyone including great roads for the
cycling enthusiasts, farms, birds and vistas for the nature lovers.
Before long we'll arrive at our first vineyard stop where we will have a special reserve
tasting, with a Fresh Fruit / Cheese & Cracker platter.
As we make our way to the next vineyard you will
have a chance to stop by one of the local farm stands to purchase some
of the fresh produce available from the area. After some easy riding we
arrive at our second vineyard, which includes a tasting of their
wine.
Here is also where we Indulge in a gourmet picnic lunch served on the beautiful
grounds of the vineyard, and get a chance to sit back to enjoy the day.
 It's our belief that a great bike tour deserves
great food and our Gourmet Picnic Lunch is fresh made, locally grown and
a rare treat!
After lunch we continue our tour on quiet country
roads, past
more vineyards and farms to our
third winery. Here you will have a private tour of the
vineyard and learn how they use nature to keep their vines healthy. Then
a tasting of the wines these grapes produce.
From here it is only a short trip back to town
where we started our journey. Once back in town you will be able to pick up any purchases
made during the tour and explore the historic village of Mattituck.
The route is mostly flat with some small rolling
hills and is designed for healthy and active people to enjoy. The total
riding distance is 16 miles.
This bike tour
caters to tourists. Most people who ride with us describe
themselves as “leisurely” or “occasional” cyclists. Some even admit they
haven’t been on a bike in a few years!
